Head Chef position in MOUNT PLEASANT, Queensland

THE COMPANY:
This a 4.5* hotel in Mackay CBD with a lot of potential, and we are looking for a Head Chef who is willing to take on the kitchen and who has the ability to implement new and fresh ideas. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire running of the kitchen and the small brigade. The venue is fast paced at times, and we are seeking someone with a lot of drive and dedication to sink their teeth into this position, and make it their own.
THE ROLE:
You will drive the tight team through busy services. With the ability to multi task you will lead by example. Our ideal candidate needs to be willing to put in the hard yards and create a good working environment for all we need hands on and motivating leader who can assist in further developing their brigade.
This role is hands on - we require a Head Chef who is willing to cook, delegate and work with the team.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Experience in a restaurant (Preferably Hotels restaurant) environment
* Ability to lead, train and develop a team
* Previous experience in a Sous Chef / Head Chef role
* Trade qualifications are essential - Please attach to application
* Good communication and time management is essential
* Strong enthusiasm and integrity
* A natural creative flair and a passion for your trade
* The ability to produce high quality food and work with a team
* Exceptional knowledge of all financials is essential (Rosters, Ordering etc.)
